Time Past
Eleanor's Millard's work is immediately recognised for its haunting imagery of the landscapes and characters of Victoria's rural and maritime communities. In her new exhibition, Time Past, quaint little farms and homesteads are set in green paddocks and abundant countryside yet they are often uninhabited, creating a sense of mysterious beauty and uneasy calm. These scenes are also childhood memories of the deserted soldier-settlements in western Victoria that were abandoned by returned servicemen after the war.
