New Work by Tim Kyle
Wynne Prize awarded sculptor Tim Kyle presents a new body of work in the main gallery – a small army of robust-bodied homunculi men. These figures seem weighted down with the woes of the world, looking out from beneath heavy brows with a grim stoicism. Diving helmets and bomb-disposal equipment provide the figures with armour. A series of tableau friezes emphasises their strain against their materials.
