MARS
Situated on Bay Street in Port Melbourne, [MARS] Melbourne Art Rooms (otherwise known as MARS Gallery) opened in February 2004 By Andy Dinan and has quickly earned a reputation as one of Melbourne's most exciting and diverse commercial art spaces.
Originally an old dairy, the MARS building was neglected and run down during its use as a warehouse and a mechanical workshop. Andy Dinan remarkably reincarnated blending aspects of the old and the new, MARS is a unique space that offers a backdrop of simplicity and generous proportions to showcase outstanding contemporary Australian and International art from emerging and established artists.
