Warmun Art: Warnarran Gelengen (Old Times New Times)
The Warmun Art Centre was established in 1998 and was the first centre to be wholly owned and controlled by the artists and community. Since then art in the West Kimberley has blossomed, and this year's group show features several of the senior artists who established Warmun's international reputation for richly textured ochre painting.
Exhibited along side their elders is a new generation of emerging artists who are carrying on the community's traditions while producing strikingly innovative work of their own.
