Joseph & Keturah Zimran - 'Nyarrumparra (Brother & Sister)'
Joseph and Keturah, brother and sister artists from Ikuntji Fine Art, have collaborated in a unique creative exercise which has produced a group of complementary but oppositional paintings which interconnect on many levels.
Each artist has a distinctive, individual aesthetic: Keturah’s bold forms and strong colours are based on the rock formations in and around Haasts Bluff; Joseph’s refined yet expressive colours and structure convey the raw intensity of Bushfire Dreaming and the consequent scarring of the landscape.
