This exhibition WOODCUT is a vision of relief printmaking by four established artist printmakers. Methods of creating the images in wood, to their transfer onto paper show varied contemporary applications of traditional, oriental, and innovative western techniques. In these works the artists reveal their respect for the wood itself, and give an expression of their creative processes, both intimate and expansive, and grounded in the best traditions of the woodcut in communicating spiritual journeys.
