House Warming
John Baird's work investigates the activities we engage in and the objects that surround us. The artist also continues to play with the traditional genre of still life in his distinctive whimsical style. His fantastical flowers sit majestically amongst stylised interiors, whilst his figures bend and twist themselves into frame. Characteristically, vintage fabrics and wallpapers are collaged into his compositions giving not only texture to the surface, but also spatial depth to the work.
